About Nagarkot

About Bhaktapur

Bhaktapur is an ancient city located in the Kathmandu Valley of Nepal, about 12 kilometers east of the capital city of Kathmandu. The city is known for its rich cultural heritage and ancient temples, palaces, and monuments, and is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Bhaktapur was founded in the 12th century and served as the capital of the Malla Kingdom until the 18th century. The city is also known as Bhadgaon, which means "City of Devotees" in Nepali. The city's architecture and urban design reflect its ancient history, and many of its buildings and monuments date back to the 14th and 15th centuries.

Durbar Square: Durbar Square is the main square in Bhaktapur and is home to many temples, palaces, and monuments, including the famous 55 Window Palace, Golden Gate, and Bhairava Nath Temple.

Nyatapola Temple: Nyatapola Temple is a five-story pagoda-style temple that is one of the tallest and most impressive temples in Nepal.

Pottery Square: Pottery Square is a small square in Bhaktapur where you can watch local artisans create pottery using traditional methods.

Taumadhi Square: Taumadhi Square is another popular square in Bhaktapur and is home to the beautiful Taumadhi Temple.

Dattatreya Temple: Dattatreya Temple is a three-story temple dedicated to the god Dattatreya, and is one of the oldest temples in Bhaktapur.

After early breakfast you will be picked up. Drive through town, villages and curvyforest roads make you interesting. It will take around two hours to reach on top for the spectacular views of Himalayas. 

Walk around and spend some time there. Drive down through the beautiful terraces views.

Drive back to Kathmandu will take you around an hour.
